Meet Me at the Spigot.
Featured as Connecticut’s entry among the top 50 dive bars in the country, and listed among "Things to Do in Hartford Before You Die," the Spigot has been a gathering place for UCONN Law students, Hartford firefighters, local mail carriers, politicians, and servers and bartenders from downtown Hartford to West Hartford Center for more than 56 years.
They may walk in to sip on our 100+ beers from international and local breweries (not to mention our assortment of hard seltzers, quality bourbons and other spirits), but they stay for the conversation, company, and come-as-you-are atmosphere enjoyed inside, on our patio, or in our newly renovated garage.
With 18 taps and more than 150 beers offered in our grab-your-own refrigerators, we have one of the largest beer selections in CT.
Spig-Eats, our very own food truck, lives permanently on-premises. Serving up fresh bites every Tuesday-Sunday.
Bars—no longer good for just drinking—must provide entertainment for their guests. Here's what we like to do for fun around here.
Our history is pretty cool, and our bartenders are the heart of the place. See where we came from, and meet our motley crew.
We went there for everything we needed. We went there when thirsty, of course, and when hungry, and when dead tired. We went there when happy, to celebrate, and when sad, to sulk. We went there after funerals, for something to settle our nerves, and always for a shot of courage just before. We went there when we didn’t know what we needed, hoping someone might tell us. We went there looking for love, or sex, or trouble, or for someone who had gone missing, because sooner or later everyone turned up there. Most of all we went there when we needed to be found.
